I’m making another costume set for our cosplay at NYAF 2010.
This blue kimono dress will be worn at Saturday’s NYAF, and I’ll be making one more in pink for my friend.

Rin & Len’s Mini Crown Top Hats

I was making Len’s mini crown (the red one) for our Vocaloid Magnet Cosplay at NYAF 2010. The crown came out so pretty that I decided to give another mini crown for my partner, Rin (the white one). Rin doesn’t really wear a crown in her original Vocaloid illustration, but my own vocaloid design already went too far from original artwork. Therefore, Rin is getting her crown, too. ^_^

vocaloid magnet [ LEN ]

Cosaru will be attending the New York Anime Festival 2010.
And this time, Cosaru Cosplay Group will do VOCALOID cosplay!
I’m making an improvised version of Kagamine Rin and Len’s magnet.
So yes, my version looks a little different from an original magnet illustration.
Len’s outfit is almost done. Blouse and Jacket were purchased from other store.
And I made the pants, headset and the rest of other accessories.
By the time I add the mini crown on the headset, Len is good to go~
and now I’ll be making Rin’s dress.

AnimeNEXT 2010 Saturday photos are now updated on the website.

I wasn’t really planning to go to this year’s AnimeNEXT, so going to the con was my last minute desicion.
Hot steamy weather and 4 hour trip didn’t stop me enjoying the con.
My experience with AnimeNEXT’s shuttle bus was great. There were 2 different shuttle route of train and food running every hour.
This year’s Artist’s Alley was also impressive. If you had attended the last year’s AnimeNEXT, you may have noticed this year’s big changes about booth quality and its location. Finally, it was no longer an alley, but definitely looked so much better comparing to the last year’s set up.
Oh, I can’t continue without talking about cosplayers. Well, I’m seeing that the number of Vocaloid cosplayers keeps growing every year! As usual, most cosplayers were kind and nice when I asked them to pose for the camera.
I’d say that Vocaloid and Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) cosplay were the main stream, but it was fun to spot the same characters in different versions of outfits.
